- The longer you let your water infuse, the stronger the flavor. I usually let it infuse and chill in the refrigerator over night before I drink it.
- Don’t put too much produce in your water. More doesn’t mean more flavor, it just means less room for water to drink. We want a delicious beverage after all.
- You can always eat your fruit and veggies as a healthy snack after you finish your water.
- Fresh herbs should be ripped (split) for the flavor to really come out in your water.
This particular combo is one of my favorites. Let this one infuse for 24 hours or more. The flavor from the strawberries will really stand out the longer it sits, and its such a light, crisp, naturally sweet combo. Stay tuned for more infused water flavor!
Strawberry, Basil, Lemon Infused Water
4 Strawberries, tops removed and cut in half
6 Basil Leaves, split
1/2 Lemon, sliced
Water (enough to fill your container)
Prepare your fruit and place all ingredients in your container of choice. Fill the container with water, put the cover on and place in the refrigerator. Let the water chill and infuse for at least 3 hours. The longer it sits, the more delicious it becomes! Best enjoyed outside on a beautiful sunny day.
