Lunch: Salad (Mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, broccoli, jalapeños, black beans, chickpeas, hemp seeds, sunflower seeds and some vinegar sprinkled on top), steamed kale and grilled vegetables
Dinner: Vegan Sushi Salad (Mixed greens, romaine lettuce, shredded carrots, avocado, red cabbage, cucumber, jalapeño, red quinoa, edamame, sesame seeds and seaweed) with a homemade creamy avocado vinaigrette
"The In-betweeners": A slightly larger handful of almonds today, and a fresh made juice (beets, apples, ginger, carrots, celery, cucumber and lemon)
I drank my juice between breakfast and lunch and had a good handful of almonds between lunch and dinner.
Note: All items on the cleanse menu will be posted by the end of the week! So be patient, and stay tuned...
Yesterday was a tease. Today, was hungry. It may have had something to do with the fact that it was 11 degrees when I left for work (and because everyones favorite girl stuff dropped in....faaaantastic). Going for a walk in the freezing snow right before lunch wasn't the best idea because when I got into the dinning hall all I wanted was the vegetable panini and a big bowl of soup. My heart set on something warm, I went to go grab a baked sweet potato. Obviously they were all gone. Faaaantastic! So I got steamed kale and grilled vegetables to go beside my salad. I was pretty hungry after lunch and I wanted something hearty for dinner. Despite the hunger, my mood has been nothing but pleasant, a serious upgrade from last years cleanse.
I wasn't alone. My sister text me saying, "Idk how I feel about eating a salad tonight (slanty face)." I was scared she was going to drop out. I don't blame her for not being pumped for another salad, but she's never had my sushi salad with homemade dressing. Fortunately, she was sold with the first bite and even more so with the dressing. The reaction was priceless and made my day. Definitely stay tuned for those recipes, you'll love em cleanse or no cleanse. Day 2 was a little tougher for the both of us than the day before, but we shared a delicious dinner full of laughs and all is well in our cleansing world. Enough energy in the both of us for a work out for dessert.
Breaking out a wee bit as the toxins leave my body (to be expected), but drinking lots and lots of water between the eating to help flush all the toxins out, clear things up and maybe even feel a bit more full.
I'm hungry right now.... Thank goodness for sleepy time tea!
